Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Awareness DayImprovised Explosive Devices (IED) are becoming a regular feature of daily living in many parts of the world for personnel in the military, government agencies, the emergency services and security companies. Increasingly, private and commercial organizations such as hotels, transportation hubs and other public venues are required to set in place safety practices to deal with terrorist or criminal attacks from IEDs
This 1 day course is designed to raise the awareness levels of IEDs and their effects and provides guidance for setting up cordons and evacuation distances to ensure the safety of others. The course is presented as a series of lectures and a live explosives demonstration and is aimed at safety managers, security personnel and police forces.
