Intermediate C-IED Course
A 4 week course. This is designed to take successful basic C-IED students a stage further toward becoming an effective C-IED Operator. It can also be used as a course to improve the skills of a C-IED assistant.
The course introduces a higher level of skills including tactics, terrorist tactics, manual and remote disposal techniques, threat assessment, safety procedures, improvised Render Safe procedures. The course will be assessed by written, oral and practical testing. This would NOT qualify successful students to conduct C-IED operations, as further skills and knowledge acquisition is required.
